I consider myself to be a happy person...maybe more content but in 2012, I have decided to be HAPPY!  My sister gave me the book The Happiness Project...haven't read it yet but am determined to be open to happiness in 2012.

I was so honored to make these necklaces for a friend.  Her mom had seen my necklaces at a holiday open house and some of them included keys and lockets.   Using keys that their dad had collected, her mom wanted each girl to have one as a memory of their dad.  I hope they are as pleased as I am with how they turned out. {notice the small heart lock...it goes perectly with the key}

 

 

12 days....year 5

I was so busy this holiday season that I was ready to let 12 days drop...but miss Tasha saved the day and organized the exchange.  Follow our unwrappying here    #12 is on the way!

I just wrapped up the last of the five holiday shows I participated in this year.  Thanks to everyone that supported a handmade business.

oh pinterest

i am so addicted to pinterest.  it has replaced my flickr search for images and art education inspiration.  i thought it would be like a similar addiction I have to HGTV and The Foodnetwork...in that I get satisfaction from watching their programs and a sense of accomplishment even though I never left the couch.  I pin and pin and pin with great hopes of cooking, crafting, and teaching the ideas I have saved.  However, I have already managed to whip up several recipes and use a few ideas in my artroom. 

Here are a few that I have made so far and felt worth sharing:

Cappuccino Cookies

these are buttery and delicious.  the espresso powder is the perfect addition to a cookie.

I have also made this easy Edamame Soup a couple times now and it's great with pepitas sprinkled on top and cornbread.
