shaking out the glitter...

holly and i are back from a magical, yes, whimsical, and inspiring weekend.  we spent the weekend in Omaha with the bellas.  each of our instructors was charming, genuine, and so sweet.  it was encouraging and sometimes it is so nice to just be around people that speak your language...and be near others that are motivated to create.  it's nice to be encouraged and feed the desire to make something.  i fulfill this outlet when i make jewelry.  i come home exhausted from teaching all day and still go to my studio to see what is inspired.  it is what drives me to get out from under the warm covers at 7:00 on a Saturday morning. so here are a few pics from our fun weekend.  holly was great and wonderful to be around this weekend.  she has a creative spirit in her too...it's what prompted her to drag me out of my cozy embassy suites bed late Saturday night to finish our Charlotte Lyons's holiday home tour houses.

she took us on a holiday house tour.  these are my little houses...they remind me of the cottage i live in...i do live in a moffit cottage...it's just another way to say my house is small.  i love the carnival ticket chimney...look at the music sheet smoke bilows.

Hi Elizabeth,

Glad you left a comment on my blog so that I could discover your blog :) I'm excited to hear that you loved your Silver Bella weekend. It's an event like no other, in fact it's my favorite event which I teach at all year!

I wanted to share with you that I was admiring the necklace I bought from you on vendor night today as I was unpacking my bags (I know, I'm hopelessly slow!). You do beautiful work Elizabeth, and I love it as much (if not more) in the light of day here at home as I did when I bought it.

Have a really nice week.
